Before and After
If you remember at Jeremy's party he got a handmade gift from his maternal grand mother. Jack was lovingly made by Mom-Mom for the occation. Here is what Jack looked like before he was shrunk and stuffed and after. Pretty neat, eh?

Speaking of the knitting blog, mom wants to get a hand model to represent "Valerie's hands." I'm sorry, but I think it should be a pic of your hands. There's nothing wrong with them, and you are Valerie, after all.

Shouldn't it be "Val's Hands" doesn't everyone call her Val anyway? The only one I know that calls her that is Grandma and she calls her Valry!

my mother calls me Valry because she has a congenital hearing loss common among twin births. It is a minimum of 80% in one hear. This causes her to not hear constants well in different places of a word. She didn't know this until she was in her 60's which means her ability to learn was hampered because she couldn't hear.
Like it or not, when we marry young, all of us give up parts of who we are to 'fit' with the other person. One of the things I took back was my name, all of it. Don didn't like Valerie and I just got use to it. I also used it because I thought it sounded tougher and it was part of me keeping people at arms length.
People who have met me since my divorce, know me as Valerie. I prefer it. But I would never want people use to Val to be forced to use it. Besides, hopefully the people who know me as Val think of good things when they use that name. lol
as far as my hands...i have the hands of a peasant. lol but that is okay. i changed my mind and figure there's nothing wrong with them. They may look like they have done a lot of hard work but they have done a lot of loving too.
i will get my blog going when I am not so tired that I take 1-2 naps a day. Being this tired helps ya not care to make the effort. lol
so. there are my explanations!
